Time passes......with the clocks changing at the weekend we are in the final stretch of our Autumn season! We'd like to wish a Happy Halloween to all our Straffard girls. ππ»π Hopefully they enjoy their trick or treating later and don't overdose too much on all the sugar! π¬ππ«
The Straffard AGM is taking place on Wednesday 19th November @ 8pm in Ardclough Clubhouse. Our club is continuing to grow and we want to continue to give our girls the best experience possible. As a result we need more help and are asking any parent who is interested in helping to run our club to attend the AGM.
The club is inviting any proposed motions for consideration by the current Executive Committee and nominations for the following officer roles:
Chairperson Vice chairperson Secretary Vice secretary Treasurer Vice Treasurer Registrar PRO Development & Coaching Officer County Board Delegates
To facilitate this, all proposed motions and nominations must be sent to Straffard.kildare@lgfa.ie by Wednesday 12th November.
If anyone is interested in a role but wants to chat in advance of putting a nomination forward, please reach out to Avril Doyle on 086 3393926 for further info.

Straffard U16s vs Kill (Division 9 Semi Final) Our U16 DIV9 girls went to Kill on Saturday to play Kill in the semi final. It was a tough test from the get go and the weather took a turn for the worse during the game. π¨βοΈ The girls led at halftime by 3 points to 1. The second half was an epic battle with the girls going four down during the second half. However, they never gave up and worked their socks off. The tackling was superb and in the end Straffard ran out 2:9 to 3:4 winners. Both teams gave it everything. We now play Kilcock in the final on the 8th of November. π

Straffard U14s vs Sarsfields (Division 2) Our U14 division 2 team travelled to Sarsfields last Saturday and had an epic battle with the home team. The girls led well at half time but Sarsfields stormed back into the game in the second half. It was nip and tuck right until the end, with Straffard narrowly winning by 2 points to keep their 100% record intact in the Autumn Championship. π«‘
